....|||not such a great albulm title, i mean really - farts, burps, hiccups or by chance the rare femine type of air release - still not quite fitting for the model- sex trendy non stop party that has become orgy||| something of a double edge sword, orgy is wrapped up in a high gloss digital sci-fi coat of acrylic, and their music is rocking, tough, loud and quick to the hit|||
....[Vapor transmissions] though never delivers the instant gratification that candyass contained|||whereas all candyass' tunes were quite memorable, the follow up only contains the beautiful 'fiction [dreams in digital]' |||the others are hard to grasp onto|||
....|||Lyrically, the words read like a sci-fi novella, "prancing through a black hole in the sky from the 30th century [the odyssey]" or way too wordy, "transglobal spectacle with post mortem fame - popsicle cannibal can you hear me [Where's Gerroid]", also the unforgivable, " you just dont know your ass from a hole in the ground [the odyssey]"|||
....|||Musically, this is a slick production for orgys textually rich sound>layers upon layers of distortion, 80s keyboards, synth-voices, and v-drums [a pressure-sensitive electronic drum kit which reacts like real drums]||| the guitars rarely peak through the mix, except for the unusually quiet moments|||if you do not own candyass, you may not realize the importance of orgys style||| its something like marlyn manson without the molestations and gender bending, and instead taking the 80s influence to runway modeling for the disallusioned||| really truelly the next wave of pop sound> virtual pioneers||| but the first disc, which has frenzied moments of near dissarry, is clearly the groundbreaker||| the over production here may hurt what the band has in store for the future|||
....[the disc is much like climbing a mountain of marshmellow, the going gets sticky even if you never get far||| at least youll be lickable>the way orgy likes you to be]
